Pulling Up a Chair: The First BABES & BRUNCH

Let’s be honest: traditional networking can feel painfully awkward. Stiff handshakes and rehearsed pitches are pretty much the opposite of where genuine connections happen. We wanted something different, something with good food, unpretentious conversations, and a room (or rather, a garden) full of women who simply get it. So, we created it.

Last Thursday, we officially launched BABES & BRUNCH with seventeen female founders, creatives, and doers gathered in the backyard of the Carla Store in Bludenz.

The Scene

From the moment when everything was set up in the garden, you couldn't take your eyes off the table. Brini from Hej Studio turned our brunch into an experience, dressing the setup with Begle sourdough, colourful spreads, and everything you want on a breakfast table. Before anyone even managed to say hello, phones were already out taking photos of the butter.

The Circle

After Tabea officially opened the brunch with her welcoming speech, our Speaker Luca (sunschnowas) opened up an honest conversation that included everyone at the table. Prompts and personal anecdotes went back and forth, discussions were raised, open talks about real-world doubts, and hard-earned takeaways created a dynamic atmosphere. The discussion naturally followed its path and soon everyone was involved in honest chats with zero stiff small talk — conversations that felt genuine rather than transactional. It wasn't about networking for the sake of handing out cards, it was about showing up as you are and finding common ground.

The Takeaways

Before parting ways, guests picked up goodie bags packed with Frau Kaufmann spices, Formbar Pilates vouchers, refreshments from Nocco and Vitamin Well, as well as bites from Barebells.

A heartfelt thank you to Miriam and the whole Team from the Carla Store, Begle Brot, Weinpunkt, and Sparkasse Bludenz for their generous support from day one, and to Brini for feeding both our bellies and our cameras. Big thank you to our sponsors! And of course, thank you to Luca and every single woman who pulled up a chair.

Until the next table is set!
